Promoting active interactions with local residents through the utilization of OMPU's sports and other facilities

OMPU has established regulations on the utilizationof the athletic field, sports facilities and herb garden on Abuyama Campus（some are free of charge）. Specifically, the athletic field and herb garden are used as a venue for the campus festival held as part of outreach activities at the initiative of the Faculty of Pharmacy. The festival provides the staff and students of OMPU with opportunities to directly meet local residents and thank them for supporting OMPU’s educational and research activities, while garnering public trust in OMPU.
While events open to local residents were withheld in AY2023 shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic was downgraded to a Category V infectious disease to avoid the remaining risk of infection, OMPU will continue community-based activities with due consideration for the social environment.
